About Jaco Beach!

Tourism:
The town of Jaco Beach, Costa Rica is the closest and most readily
accessible beach to the capital city San Jose. It
is the "fun and sun" spot on the Pacific Coast and at
present the beautiful drive takes abut 2 hours through
lush mountains. In 2007/2008 the new Caldera
Highway will be completed and will shorten the driving
time to 45 minutes.
Costa
Ricans as well as many North Americans and Europeans
come to Jaco for the cinnamon sand beach with consistent
surfing waves here and in
neighboring Hermosa Beach, and the exciting night life.
The active village is full of life at all hours of the
day and night. There are souvenir and gift shops,
local clothing and artisan shops, close to 100
restaurants and bars, casinos and several discotheques
for late night dancing and mingling. There are a
diversity of tours, activities, national parks and
reserves nearby. Divers enjoy the reefs and exotic
fish. Besides surfing and swimming you can go
horseback riding in the mountai ns or on the beach, go on
a canopy tour or visit a butterfly farm. The area
boasts some of the world's best deep sea fishing with
record breaking catches of marlin, tuna and sailfish.
There are real estate services, supermarkets, Internet
cafes and pharmacies. Other professional services
include doctors, dentists and lawyers. There is no
shortage of things to do in and from Jaco, which will
make your visit very memorable.
If
this is your first visit it probably won't be your last!
Investment:
Jaco
Beach is ex perienceing a building boom and is home to
some of the top real estate buys in Costa Rica.
For the investor there are numerous opportunities, with
several builders constructing new homes and condominiums
that vary in location, size and price. Jaco Beach
real estate ranges from luxury ocean view and beach
front villas and condos to smaller more affordable
properties in and around the
town. Jaco is one of the few areas in Costa Rica
that is fee simple, which means you own the land and do
not have to lease it from the government. It has
become the largest and most developed beach town in
Costa Rica because of its proximity to the capital city
of San Jose. There is a new Master Plan proposed
that will limit future development near the beach,
restricting height and density. With the new
highway coming and these other issues we feel that
overall property values in Jaco, especially oceanfront
are going to soar over the coming years. Some
American tourists say it reminds them the way California
and Hawaii were 40 years ago. Last year Costa Rica
surpassed Hawaii as the number one destination, with
over one million tourists visiting.
Talk about
being in the right place at the right time.
